Aspergillus niger

Question:

I received a question from a doctor, regarding Aspergillus niger. What is the reason for introduction of this fungus in ImuPro Complete testing? Of course that is the most common contaminant of the food, but is there any connection between presence of Aspergillus niger and leaky gut?

Answer:

Yes, the gut can be colonized by Aspergillus niger and it can promote leaky gut. Aspergillus niger is also an environmental allergen. In humid houses you can be exposed to Aspergillus and it can induce chronic inflammation. If you are positive to Aspergillus you should avoid all foods being easily contaminated and check your environment particularly at home and at work. If you are exposed to these molds you should take every possible action to remove Aspergillus.
